Parish Council

The Parish Council (PC) is a consultative body which makes recommendations to the Pastor. Canon 519. The PC is to give advice, make recommendations in all matters of the Parish life. They are to be the voice of all the parishioners since they elect them.  The Pastor needs a group of trusted and capable parishioners to help him reflect on pastoral matters and offer sound conclusions and recommendations. The Pastor’s goal is practical wisdom. Through a council, he expects to gain a deeper insight into how the parish can plan its pastoral program thoroughly and carry it out effectively.  After the elections take place, (80%) of the members, the Pastor is to appoint (20%), in order to see that everyone has representation in the PC. The Pastor, the Priest in charge of the Parish, carefully listens to the voice of God, his Church, and the PC before making any big decisions.

Consejo Parroquial

El Consejo Parroquial (CP) es un cuerpo consultativo que hace recomendaciones al Pastor. Canon 519. El CP debe dar consejo, hacer recomendaciones en todos los asuntos de la Vida Parroquial. Ellos deben ser la voz de todos los parroquianos, ya que ellos los escogieron. El Pastor necesita un grupo de parroquianos confiables y capaces para ayudarle a reflejar los asuntos pastorales y ofrecer conclusiones y recomendaciones razonables. El objetivo del Pastor es sabiduría práctica. A través del consejo, el espera obtener un mejor conocimiento en como la parroquia puede planear su  programa pastoral completamente y llevarlo a ser efectivo. Después que las elecciones tomen lugar, (80%) de los miembros, el Pastor designa (20%), para ver que todos tengan una representación en el CP. Que el Parroco, sacerdote a cargo de la parroquia, antes de hacer una gran decisión, escuche cuidadosamente la voz de Dios, de la Iglesia y del CP.
